Preparation time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

• 1 lemon peel - cut thinly for garnish

• 1 1⁄2 ounces gin

• 3⁄4 ounce fresh lemon juice

• 1⁄2 ounce simple syrup

• 1 inch chopped ginger

• 1 cup ice cubes

• 2 ounces dry, sparkling wine

Directions:

  1. In a cocktail shaker:

• Muddle together lemon juice, ginger, simple syrup

• Add gin and ice and shake vigorously for 30 seconds

• Pour into a champagne flute and add champagne

• Garnish with lemon peel
