Serves 4-6

Preparation time: 30 minutes Refrigeration time prior to service: 4-24 hours

Ingredients:

• 4 teaspoons grated lime zest

• 1⁄2 cup juice from 2-3 medium limes

• 4 teaspoons grated lemon zest

• 1⁄2 cup juice from 2-3 medium lemons

• 1⁄4 cup superfine sugar (immediately dissolving – do not use regular sugar)

Directions:

• Pinch table salt

• 2 cups crushed ice

• 1 cup 100 percent agave tequila • 1 cup Triple Sec

• Coarse salt (to rim glasses)

  1. Combine lime zest, lemon zest, juices, sugar and salt in a large liquid measuring cup and cover with plastic – refrigerate a minimum of 4 hours; ideally 24 hours

  2. Strain the juice mixture through a sieve

  3. Salt the rims of 4 to 6 old-fashioned glasses

  4. Divide 1 cup of crushed ice between glasses

  5. In a quart pitcher, combine: lime mixture, tequila, Triple Sec and remaining ice, stir and serve:
